As the proud son of Hilary and Nadine Adams and grandson to Willie and Lila Adams, Hank's leadership is deeply rooted in the wisdom and traditions passed down from his great-grandparents, Pascal and Delilah Adams and William Adams. His enduring commitment to family extends to his wife of 26 years, and together, they have raised two remarkable daughters, who are themselves destined to become future leaders.

Kukpi7 Hank Adams has been an integral part of the Stswecem’c Xget’tem First Nation since April 2017, starting as the Self-Government Coordinator. Over the years, he advanced to the role of Self-Government Director, a position he held for approximately six years. As a dedicated leader, Hank also served on the Council for four years. His commitment to the community and expertise in self-governance continue to guide and empower the Stswecem’c Xget’tem First Nation toward a brighter future.

Hank passionately dedicates himself to protecting and revitalizing the Secwepem’c culture, language, and territory. His vision for a self-reliant community is driven by sustainable practices in renewable energy and food sovereignty, embracing a future where self-government and nation rebuilding are at the forefront.

Under his guidance, the Stswecem’c Xget’tem First Nation is poised for economic diversification and forging partnerships that honor and reflect the community's vision and values. Hank is committed to enhancing communication within the community to ensure unified progress and growth.
