- Assist the Finance Team in the accounting, billing, collections, payroll and financial reporting functions
- Review accounts payable and receivable entries to ensure all transactions are properly coded in the accounting system and paid/received in a timely manner
- Conducts monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting of accounts
- Performs monthly bank and investment account reconciliations
- Performs monthly employee benefits reconciliations
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets and lease schedules
- Providing support for accounting positions, including payroll, payables, and accounts receivable during staff absence and holidays
- Supports the budgeting, reporting, and operational performance tracking for the organization
- Reconcile and analyze projects and related information
- Strong reporting and analysis experience, including identifying potential issues and conducting data analysis
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field preferred
- Equivalent experience will be considered
- 3 years experience in an accounting or finance department
- Proficiency in the use of computer programs for accounting (Xyntax preferred), word processing, databases, spreadsheets, email and the internet, to the intermediate level

We are one of 17 distinct Secwepemc Nations and we have joined with three other northern Secwepemc nations to form Northern Secwepemc te Qelmucw (NStQ); we are working through the treaty process, on the path to self-determination.
