Culverts to be Replaced: Bear Creek and Old Mill road
SXFN will be replacing two culverts on Old Mill Road and at Bear creek. The culverts have been the site for yearly flooding and according to Operations and Maintenance Manager, Warren Camille, “we’re lucky it hasn’t washed out.” He said public works has had to clean the culverts and sandbag on a regular basis to keep flooding at bay. The culverts allow water to flow under the road.
Bear creek, heading up to Bench lands, and Old Mill road, on Dog creek IR2 will be fixed this spring and the project is being paid for by Indigenous Services Canada.
